Winter Is Coming

We at PVMS wish all our customers a safe and healthy holiday season!  Winter is just around the corner and it’s fraught with dangers.  The flu season is coming up so we would like to remind everyone to make sure that they have gotten their flu shots.  Besides dangers that we can’t see like the flu and colds and viruses, there are the effects of treacherous weather conditions to navigate.  Car accidents increase due to slippery conditions and falls from walking in the snow or over ice are a real concern.  Our products and devices get much use this time of year.

Remember to brush off your cars before going anywhere!

Make sure your vehicles have the proper tires so that they can handle the coming weather or better yet plan ahead so that your driving is minimized.  Just as we do when we stock our warehouse so that any item’s you need are ready for next day delivery.  Since we consider all possibilities when it comes to our customer’s needs we are always ready to serve.  Whether that means getting you the best price, the quickest delivery or finding that unusual product, PVMS is here for our customers.  Enjoy the winter but be ready to welcome the spring.

Please leave a comment on how you’re getting ready for winter.

Veterans Day

Since yesterday was Veterans Day we wanted to reflect on it a little. There are about 21 million veterans living in the United States right now. A little over a million of them are survivors of World War II. Right after WWII, there were about 26 million veteran survivors. Over the sixty years since the end of Second World War, almost 25 million of them have died. These soldiers of the ‘greatest generation’ are now quite elderly and soon, they will all be just a memory. Veterans Day will keep them alive in our hearts and minds, just like it will for all the veterans. The origins of Veterans Day goes back to World War I, when the official cessation of hostilities between the Allies and Germany ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, so that November 11, 1918 is considered to be the end of the “Great War.” President Wilson, in 1919 declared November 11th, “Armistice Day”.

Here at PVMS, we appreciate the sacrifices that veterans and their families have made for our country.  We strive to hire veterans and support them in any other way that we can.  We stand with other businesses that recognize the sacrifice veterans have made for us.  It is our honor to help them transition back to civilian life in our small way. Thank you to all the people who have severed and are serving.

How Pioneer Valley Medical Supplies Keeps Up with Current Products.

Pioneer Valley Medical Supplies (PVMS) has dedicated and diligent personnel whose main focus is to keep up with product development and the latest trends in medical supplies.  They have an open line of communication with our suppliers.  Their work includes constant monitoring of industry publications, scientific journals and any other data relevant to PVMS customers.  This includes combing both national and international resources and the mountain of data available on the Internet.  They attend many trade shows and can evaluate first hand the quality and potential use of products for our customers.

PVMS encourages feedback from its current customers and sends out surveys to assess the level of satisfaction with the product delivered.  If the customer does not send back the written response, we follow up with a phone call or e-mail to them.  We regularly meet with the hospital staff or nursing home staff to gather their thoughts on our products.  This allows us to make any adjustments needed to a product in an expedited manner.  PVMS is not afraid to learn so we also look at what our competitors are doing right and wrong.
